The location of this hotel is excellent, especially if you're planning to hike in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. It's just a short drive away from the Pen y Fan car park, making it incredibly convenient for outdoor enthusiasts. Additionally, the staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful, providing a warm welcome and offering lots of assistance during our stay. The rooms, especially the private en-suite room we stayed in for one night, were clean and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The breakfast offered at the hostel was tasty and freshly cooked, definitely worth the money. this hotel offers great value for money and is a fantastic base for exploring the stunning surroundings.
There was one minor issue with the emergency light in the room being very bright, which could be bothersome for those who prefer complete darkness when sleeping. It would have been useful to have some bedside night lights for reading as well.

The location was perfect for hiking with trails easily accessible from the doorstep. The kitchen facilities were clean and well-maintained, making cooking meals a breeze. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure any issues we had were dealt with promptly.
The room was dark and felt unclean, with thin walls that made it difficult to sleep. There were only two toilet stalls available for the entire floor, and one of them had a broken lock, causing inconvenience and discomfort.
